Child and Adult Care Food Program Training Dates for 2014

Nutrition and Wellness Tips for Young Children

Child care providers help create a healther generation by taking steps to prevent obesity and encourage healthy eating habits that last a lifetime.

There are ways to help children in child care to develop healthy habits.  The meals and snacks served should provide nutrients children need to be healthy, low in sodium, solid fats and sugar.

Good nutrition and physical activity work together to promote healthy growth and development.

This training will give providers specific ways to support children and their families in the four important areas of providing healthy foods, following good food safety practices, encouraging active play and limiting screen time.
