Physical activity plays a critical role in preventing childhood obesity and supporting overall development. In this training, you will explore the connection between gross motor movement and lifelong health while learning practical ways to keep children active throughout the day.
You will discover how to create movement-friendly environments, both indoors and outdoors, and how to balance structured and unstructured physical activities. This session will provide hands-on activities, discussions, and real-world strategies to help you engage children in meaningful movement experiences.
This Training will cover OCFS Training Topic Areas: (1) principles of childhood development and(2) nutrition and health needs of infants and children.
